Orkney Islands, Scotland
The Orkney Islands are located off the northern coast of Scotland. It is an archipelago of 70 islands, the largest of which, Mainland, is interesting for its Neolithic archaeological monuments. Among them are the beautifully preserved settlement of Skara Brae and the unique ancient tomb of Meishaw. In addition to the Pictish and Viking heritage, the nature here is stunning.
